Biography

Gilbert DeWitte is a true multimedia entrepreneur whose remarkable skillset enables him to work in numerous areas of the music industry. As a producer, composer, and performer, his abilities have enabled him to take on numerous opportunities so far in his career.  

DeWitte’s musical studies began when he started classical piano at the age of three, learning cello later in his youth. Even so, he has found passions in numerous genres, including pop, hip-hop, jazz, and film.

In 2021, DeWitte collaborated with Jason Derulo at his Los Angeles studio, beginning his work as an intern then later working as an engineer, producer, and assistant studio manager. In 2022, he got the opportunity to work with Harry Styles on his “Love on Tour” Austin residency, where he worked as an assistant live playback engineer. That same year, he partnered with Avid Technology on Avid’s podcast, The Inside Track. In his hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, he co-produced/engineered recordings with various ensembles including the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and the Augustana University School of Music.

In 2024, he graduated from the Augustana University School of Music with degrees in both music and multimedia entrepreneurship. DeWitte holds many certifications as well, including Expert-Level Certification in Music Production on Pro Tools, Professional Level Certification in Post-Production on Pro Tools, User Certifications on both Media Composer and Sibelius, Dante Level 1 Certification, and ALA Certification to teach Pro Tools. Currently, he is pursuing his MBA in Music Business at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, where he continues his dedication towards being an excellent producer, composer, performer, and entrepreneur.
